REPORTING REQUIREMENTS UNDER BCRA OUTLINED IN COMMISSION POLICY STATEMENT
WASHINGTON – To assist filers of campaign finance reports, revised reporting requirements necessary under the Bipartisan Campaign Reform Act (BCRA) are contained in an interim policy statement approved by the Federal Election Commission on November 21.

New reporting forms, software and instructions incorporating the new BCRA regulations will be issued following finalization of those regulations. In the interim, filers are instructed to continue to use existing disclosure forms and software for their December 5 post-general election report; year-end report due January 31, 2003; and for the February 2003 report covering January of 2003.

The interim procedures for completing reporting forms are outlined in the policy statement and located on the FEC’s web site at http://www.fec.gov/pages/bcra/interim_reporting_policy.htm.
