May Reporting Reminder

May 15, 2012

Committees that file monthly have a report due Sunday, May 20, covering the month of April 2012. Please note that the FEC does not have the authority to extend filing deadlines, even when they fall on weekends. Filers should plan accordingly. Quarterly filers do not have a regularly scheduled report due this month, but if they have made contributions or expenditures in connection with special or primary elections held in April, May or June, they may also have to file additional reports. Thus, quarterly filers should refer to the FEC's compliance map if they make contributions/expenditures for special or primary elections, to determine if an additional report is required.
