Congressional primary convention reporting dates

May 1, 2008

Several states hold conventions to nominate a party's candidate for the general election instead of holding a primary election. These conventions are treated like a primary election under federal election law. See 11 CFR 100.2. Please visit https://www.fec.gov/help-candidates-and-committees/dates-and-deadlines for information about upcoming state party conventions and reporting dates.
