Upcoming reporting due dates

January 31, 2020: Year-End Reports are due. For more information on the Year-End Report, see the 2019 Quarterly and Semi-Annual reporting pages of the Commission website. Staff in the Reports Analysis Division and Electronic Filing Office will be available until 8:00 p.m. (EST) on Friday, January 31 to answer questions regarding the content and filing of reports.

Upcoming educational programs

February 25-26, 2020: The Commission will host a regional conference in San Antonio, TX for candidates, political party committees, and political action committees.

FEC website

The Commission has permanently shut down its legacy website, classic.fec.gov. When the Commission launched the new fec.gov in May 2017, the Commission continued to allow the public access to the legacy website to ease the transition to the new site. However, the legacy website, which was developed in the early 2000s, was hosted on a platform that is no longer sustainable from a security standpoint. In October 2019, the Commission cut off access to static pages on the legacy site. The Commission disabled the rest of the site in January 2020. For more information, see the Commission’s statement.

Federal Elections 2018: Election Results for the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives is available. The data was compiled from the official vote totals published by state election offices. The 2019 Combined Federal State Disclosure and Election Directory is available. This publication identifies the federal and state agencies responsible for the disclosure of campaign finances, lobbying, personal finances, public financing, candidates on the ballot, election results, spending on state initiatives and other financial filings. Other election-related resources

Videos on protecting U.S. elections. The FBI’s Protected Voices initiative provides videos designed to help political campaigns protect themselves from foreign influence. The 2019 videos offer guidance on ransomware, business email compromise, supply chain, social media literacy, and foreign influence operations. Other videos, released in 2018, include cyber hygiene topics such as social engineering, patching, router hardening, and app and browser safety.
